Because these two Apple computer models don't include one - A webcam for Mac mini and Mac Pro Tower computers are often high on owners buying lists. It's almost unfortunate the Low-Quality MacAlly IceCam2
web camera - with it's white and silver aesthetics - is often chosen as a webcam for their Macintosh mini. It may be affordable and widely available, but the IceCam's poor light sensitivity, off-color balance, and disappointing microphone with hollow sound 'quality' leave much to be desired.
There's better driverless UVC web cams in the $30 USD range that outperform the IceCam: Look to this Hercules cross-platform UVC webcam
